Interactive 3D Preview — drag to orbit
A front headlock choke that wraps around the neck and squeezes upward.
The guillotine choke wraps your arm around your opponent's neck from the front and finishes by arching your back and pulling your choking arm upward into the throat or carotid arteries. Variations include the arm-in guillotine (which includes their arm), the high-elbow guillotine (Marcelotine), and the standing guillotine. It is one of the most common submissions in MMA and no-gi grappling, often caught during failed takedown attempts.
