Interactive 3D Preview — drag to orbit
A wrestling takedown attacking one leg to off-balance and bring down the opponent.
The single leg takedown shoots on one of your opponent's legs, lifts or trips it, and drives them to the mat. Variations include the high crotch, low single, and inside trip finishes. The single leg is the most versatile takedown in grappling because it can be hit from many angles and setups. It's lower risk than the double leg since you're not exposing your head to guillotines as directly. Every serious grappler needs a reliable single leg.
