D'Arce Choke

submissionintermediateGi & No-Gi

An arm triangle variation threading under the arm and around the neck.

The D'Arce choke (brabo choke) is an arm-in head-and-arm choke where your choking arm threads under their armpit, around their neck, and locks in a figure-four. You finish by sprawling your hips and squeezing. The D'Arce is commonly caught during scrambles, turtle attacks, and half guard passes when an opponent reaches with their underhook. It rewards practitioners who are quick to recognize the head-and-arm configuration.
